UIL Accounting--Accounting is a UIL contest. The team consists of four contestants and an alternate. The contest itself is comprised of 80 questions, with some questions earning bonus points. The contest is an hour long test. The accounting contest requires after-school practices.
Computer Applications--Computer Applications is also a UIL contest. The team consists of three contestants and an alternate. The test is 30 minutes in length and integrates word processing, spreadsheet and database principles.Students use Dell laptops and a recent form of Microsoft Office for the contest.
Students participating in accounting and computer applications are required to attend several practice meets during the year before the District Contest. Some of the practice meets are in a virtual tournament format where we do not have to travel out of town to compete.
